Malumalu ‘o Fulilangi is the local name for the site the famous British explorer Captain Cook landed on 30th April 1977 where an offspring of the ‘Ovava Tree (Banyan) is still standing, alleged to be where the seafarer rested after anchoring the Endeavor offshore in the lagoon.
